Mexican artist Octavio Ocampo was born in Guanajuato, Mexico on February 28, 1943. His art is incredible in its imaginative detail. He uses primarily a metamorphic style – a technique of superimposing and juxtaposing realistic and figurative details within the images that he creates. Each piece tells its own special story. Viewers need to look long and hard at Octavio's paintings. The longer one looks at his work, the more that is revealed.
The Visions Fine Art Gallery in Sedona, Arizona represents Octavio Ocampo in the United States.
Several collections in Mexico contains his work, and individual works have been made for President Jimmy Carter (commissioned by President Lopez Portillo and was presented as a gift from the United Mexican States), Jane Fonda, Cher (for the front and back covers of her "Heart of Stone" album), and Cesar Chavez.
